UP Board Exams 2025 Begin Under Strict Surveillance; Over 54 Lakh Students Appearing

 The Uttar Pradesh Board Exams 2025 for Class 10 and 12 commenced on Monday, with a total of 54,37,233 students appearing across the state. The exams, which will run for 13 days until March 12, are being conducted under strict surveillance to ensure fairness, according to an official statement.


Massive Student Participation

This year, 27,32,216 students have registered for the Class 10 exams, while 27,05,017 students are appearing for the Class 12 exams. The exams are being held in two shifts—the first shift from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.

On the first day:

  • Class 10 students took Hindi and Elementary Hindi exams in the morning, followed by the Healthcare exam in the afternoon.
  • Class 12 students appeared for Military Science in the morning and Hindi and General Hindi in the second session.

Strict Measures to Prevent Malpractice

To maintain the integrity of the exams, the Special Task Force (STF) and local intelligence units are closely monitoring examination centres. Each exam hall is equipped with two CCTV cameras with voice recorders, ensuring real-time surveillance. Additionally, 306 centres across 17 districts have been classified as "highly sensitive".

Inauguration & Encouragement for Students

Minister of State for Secondary Education Gulab Devi inaugurated the first shift at Jubilee Inter College, Lucknow, by performing a ceremonial 'tilak' and distributing sweets to students. She encouraged students to stay confident and dedicated, emphasizing that UP Board exams lay the foundation for a bright future.

Monitoring Operations at Control Centres

In Prayagraj, UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh reviewed monitoring operations at the Control and Command Centre, ensuring smooth execution of the exams. She reiterated the importance of maintaining fairness and efficiency in the examination process.

With a record number of students appearing and stringent monitoring in place, the UP Board Exams 2025 are set to uphold academic integrity and provide a fair assessment environment for students.
